Problem with Windows Media Player 11 for XP

Hello,

I cannot run Windows Media Player 11 for XP (and neither WMP 10 before) since I installed Internnet explorer 8. I keep receiving an ''internal error'' message.

I downloaded updates from Microsoft (of IE 8 and WP 11) and tried the following solution:
regsvr32 vbscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll

It didn't work.

Can you advise?
