Using other Service Pack in XP to Check Disk

Can I use Service Pack 3 in XP to Check Disk Utility in the PC which is currently Service Pack 2 XP now..??
Is it okay to use other Service Pack to Check Disk Uitlity of the computer.

Configuration: Windows XP
