Hai
PS/2 ports are not like USB ports in that while the PC is running you can't plug in a PS/2 keyboard or mouse and have it be functional. The keyboard LEDs flashing once is normal so I'm betting the USB KB is OK. You should be able to enter cmos/bios setup when using it. Your P4 is probably posting pretty quick and you may be missing the opportunity to enter cmos. If USB keyboard support isn't enabled in cmos then it may not work when windows loads. (They'll usually work during posting regardless of USB keyboard support status.) So try to get into cmos with the USB KB and enable support. Oh, your ps/2 keyboard port is probably bad. |
Where is the USB support enable option in CMOS setting? Please let me know. I am unable to find the place of USB support.
Yes, i found USB Boot , and I enabled that one but it does not work... help, please let me know throw my mail address... Thanks a lot.....

Replace the battery on the motherboard. A bad battery will give you that CMOS error message. |
