Hello, In the first place Dell will not give you a password to unlock computer unless you prove to them you bought the computer ...your address..and your date of purchase. I have delt with them on several ocassions as i am a computer tech. I have an Inspiron now that is system password locked and you can't even get the log on screen up. Still no luck with it.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 8.0

Hi,

try to reset the CMOS.

disconnect the computer from the mains supply, open the casing, remove the CMOS battery.

reset the CMOS by using the jumper, replace the jumper to its original position, put back the battery and start the system.

It is NOT possible to reset a Bios password just by removing the cmos battery you will need professional assistance.

If you want to try DELL they will ask you original recipt and photo ID in order to proof ownership of the laptop

I unlocked My Dell Latitude Bios password with 595b Service tag termination in http://www.laptoprebirth.com They gave me very good service and it worked like a charm!!!!

Thank you and hope this helps.
