Hello,
I have an Acer Aspire 5670 which recently had to format due to continuous crashes. The pre-installed OS was Windows XP Home Edition. After the format I installed a copy of Windows XP Professional and updated them to SP3. The problem I have is that the laptop keeps saying there is no sound device. All the drivers installed were downloaded from the official Acer website and all work fine except Realtec HD audio drivers. Every time I install them they say they need a system reboot and after the reboot it seems like they were never installed at all. I tried to download and install the Realtek drivers from other web locations but the same problem keeps occuring. I should also mention that the sound manager system tray icon (the small speaker) is not even there and the sound settings at control panel say they find no sound device.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Configuration: Windows XP Professional SP3
Firefox 3.0.11

Dear Sir,

This means you didnt installed the exact driver for your sound card.
You will have to download it on the ACER support website

Download the driver here:

This is what I downloaded in the first place. The Conexand Audio Driver 5.10.0.5191.
Problem still occurs after a couple of more tries.
