Wireless Lan switch not working on lap top

Hello,
I have a Sony Vaio and my led light on my wireless lan switch is not working. I ran a diagnosis on it and it said that the driver is working fine but when I try to connect it tells me to turn on lan switch which is already on but don't seem to be working. Any advice on what I can do?

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0
