Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK
msconfig

Vista: In the Start Search field, type msconfig , and press Enter . The System Configuration window opens.

Or

Press and hold Windows logo key on keyboard and press R. It will open Run Window. Type the following in the open box and click OK

MSconfig

The System Configuration window opens.

Please click on Startup tab

Remove the check mark from entries related to Mywebsearch OR M3PLUGIN.DLL

Then click on Apply, Close and Please click on Exit without restart.

When the system restarts, you will see a message about System Configuration Utility. Click in the box for "Do not Show this message" and then click on OK.

It may work!

Thanks Sykes! My husband has been complaining about this error message for a week now. It is funny. I had to use the msconfig utility to fix another start-up problem just last week. In safe mode, I had to disable a service that was preventing my computer from completing the boot up process. Thanks for saving me the time it would have taken to figure this out on my own. You really should set up your own help site! Good job.

ThanX - appreciate your efforts - I had identical problem - suspect it was just as you said - a quarantied s/w item by a recently executed antivirus scan.

could this error be slowing my computer down. can someone reply ASAP please..

It's a virus, if you have anti virus software, it should have deleted it. If the message is saying "error loading...", the virus has been deleted, but your computer is still attempting to load it, to stop the message appearing, see skykes' advice below.

I downloaded AVAST but went wrong it start all symbols to look like "?????". Then came advert of Antivirus2008 and I bought online but wouldn't activated. I wonder what to do?

griever09 - Oct 14, 2008 3:08am BST
poohy,

antivirus 2008 is a scam, you just gave your credit card number to a spyware, better have your cc number changed. anyway try to purchase something like mcafee or norton they're a lil expensive nut it's worth the cost.
