Hello,
I have a P4 PC, Asus mother board.
I bo an internal 1 Tb SATA Maxtor HDD and intalled it. everything was OK for past 4 month. suddenly last night, I started my computer as usual but I found that the bios can not detect it ! I checked it withn 3 other PCs , but the result was the same. My PC did not start because of HDD's not detection. The HDD's motor works properly, but can not be detected by PC startup, and the system hangs whithin startup precedure.
I took it to the local HDD repair shop, he said "this is the 6th 1 Tb SATA HDDs I have received in last 2 weeks". and I can not repair it. it seems that the problem is for this generation of product, that whithout any reason, it goes down.
Can anybody help me please?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,

All you have to do is to is to check if windows detects it:

Right click on My Computer,
Select Manage then choose Disk Management

Try to see if it appears there
