Hello,
I was wondering if there is any way to count the number of cells that are all shaded the same colour, or if its possible to count the number of cells with a certain font style - bold for example.
I have a spreadsheet that has hotel room numbers laid out by floor / section and i would like to mark it so that it can be easily seen which have had work carried out and how many require work to be completed (i do not need to show differing stages/types of work to be completed, only that it has or has not been done). At first i considered using two sheets with duplicate information and just deleting room numbers from the second sheet and using 'countif' to display the number of remaining rooms on the first sheet. However i need the first sheet to show the rooms which no longer require attention somehow. Perhaps there is a way to shade/bold cells from a formula instead of counting ones that are shaded/bolded?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I am using Excell 2002 by the way
Tom
