How do I connect my 2 laptops for internet wi

Hello,
I have 2 laptops that I want to be able to connect to the internet at the same time using my tmobile dongle. I found an old netgear wireless router with ethernet cable etc but dont know how to get it to connect both laptops, all im getting is local access and no internet.
