Hello,

Help!! I reformatted my 80 GB hard drive with my HP system recovery disc, and now my drive C only has 24 GB with the rest of the space being unallocated. My operating system is Vista, and HP tech support has been NO help at all with this. One person suggested using the partition magic software, but isn't sure if it will work with Vista. I did have a small "D" drive before the reformat, it was labeled "backup and recovery". That no longer exists. My main operating drive is "C". Another friend suggested I use the system recovery disc again and see if that will allocate the unallocated space to drive C. I was given no choices as to how to partition the drive when I did the system recovery.

Does anyone have an answer??

Frankie

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi there,

if you are using vista no need of using partition magic

go to my computer>

right click>manage

go to disk management

on disk management the unallocated space is in back color

right click on it and choose what you want to do.

like create new partition or shrink volume..

Thanks
