Hai
Most 256MB PC133 modules these days are "high density". Since your board has 3 DIMM slots with a max of 256MB per slot, you MUST use low density modules. When installing high density RAM in a board designed for low density, one of two things will happen: 1. the system will not boot 2. the new RAM will be recognized at 50% of it's capacity There is no way to get the other 128MB recognized. Simply put, you bought the wrong RAM. BTW, since you have a stick of PC100 in the mix, ALL your RAM is being forced to run at PC100 speed (100MHz). |
