Running 32-Bit Windows on a 64-Bit

Hello,


I was wondering if there was a setting for which you could run (or make your system believe it is running) a 32-bit Windows Vista on a 64-bit Windows Vista. Bascially, I upgraded to a better computer so I could play games, right? But I feel pretty much screwed over by GameTap as they don't support 64-bit Windows. I can live without it, just wondering if I could emulate 32-bit Windows or something around those lines.

Hello


Run it in compatibility mode. Right Click on the program and then go to properties and then click on compatibility and then click on the icon that says run in windows 32 compatibility mode.

hey guy I have the windows pro x64 and I cant run a lot of games on it. I go to compatibility but I still dont suceed to run it please help!!!!

Well...actually there is no place or setting within compatibility for selecting 32 bit compatibility within vista 64. You really just have to do a dual boot if your program is worth it!

There are a lot of programs that don't run on 64 bit vista. TI-connect for example.

yea I love the fact that i bought a new Microsoft fingerprint reader and it STILL doesn't have 64bit drivers...not even for XP 64.

yeah i have a soundboard i used to use everyday and then when i "upgraded" my os, it screwed me over because there are no 64bit drivers.

well i'm getting a 64 bit os but i'm also partition off 50 gb for XP so i can run old games, try partition i'm not sure it will work but i hope.

Well, im an old gamer, got myself this HP laptop with vista. And found all the games I loved growing up wont play, sept Arena and Daggerfall. But in my opinion Bethesda is "The Best" software company hands down cause they make the games I like too play while everyone else when it comes too RPG, are making those final fantasy type games I dont like.
So Im looking for some old first person RPGs that will play on vista. And maybe some goldbox games for some really old nestalgia. Someone should give that old style a rebirth cause just imagine what they could do with an old goldbox program nowadays.
I miss old terrible looking games like pool of radiance and games like em, used too have a library of them whe my folks bought a commadore 64.
Well sure all the new games look great and all, but no offense guys and gals, everyones villians nowadays are a bunch of pansies who wouldnt know real evil if some drugged up whore from hell walked up and shot them in the face.
