Can you have 2 itunes accounts on the same PC

I have a new iphone and when I tried to sync it with Itunes it sucked up all my boyfriends details from his itunes account. I've tried to create a new account for me but I'm unable to. Can you suggest what to do as I can't buy any apps as it comes up with his email address and I need his password and I want my own account. Can you have two separate itunes accounts on the same PC?
