Compaq Forgotten Password-What Do I Do?

Hello,
I have a Compaq desktop using Windows XP that was connected via wireless router along with a Dell desktop using Vista. Everything worked well until a "friend" did something to the Compaq, so I used the recovery disks to do a complete recovery back to factory settings. The Windows screen comes up asking for my user name & passwork, which I have forgotten. How can I get back into the Compaq and use it again? Is there a factory default user/password I can use or is it now a paperweight? Please help!

Hi,

go to safe mode and then disable password request in the user accounts.

you need to repair the windows using the Windows installation CD.
