Windows Network Protocol TCP/IP

Hello,
I am trying to re-install an HP LaserJet and the program sends an error message which says that I have to install the Network Protocol: Windows TCP/IP. I am not connecting to the printer via a network, it is connected via USB cable. I would appreciate help on how to either successfully bypass this error message, or get the protocol installed. FYI: I do connect this computer to the internet via wireless connection. One other computer occasionally connected via wireless, and one other hard-wired. Thank you
