Block .gif files

Hello,

Is it necessary to block tha .gif or .jpg files from firewall? Or is there some system

which considers email with .gif attachment as a junk or spam email?

we are sending email to our client with a .gif attachment. Some of them could not receive our email or went to junk folder.
