Hello,
iertutil.dll not found is the error message. i downloaded IE 8 & suddenly everything disappeared from my desktop. I can open the task manager, but cannot do anything else.

I've followed every possible suggestion to try & "find" iertutil.
Per a previous post, I do not have explorer.exe or iexplorer.exe to delete in the Image File Execution options. Any next steps?

Thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Moron:

what part of
"suddenly everything disappeared from my desktop. I can open the task manager, but cannot do anything else."
did you not understand?

Therefore, they cannot see a "start" and would have already done the system restore.

Shut up.

In case you hadn't already figured this out, you can run a new task from the task manager window. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, go to Task Manager and look under the File menu.

Maybe the "moron" is you, eh? ;)
