If you have a bay to fit one in a P4 computer will definately support a DVD burner. If you don't have an open bay then you can remove an older CD/DVD drive and replace it. You just need to take some care with setting jumpers on the back of the drive. You may also need to get an IDE cable. Make sure it is the newer 80 wire type. Buy an IDE/ATA/ATAPI type burner. The other choice is a SATA type, which you probably can't use. |
