Hello,

I got a new Lenovo ThinkPad Laptop, and I cannot connect to my home Wireless Router (Linkysys). My laptop is setiup with Intel PROSet wireless and I added my router profile, which I can see, but I am unable to connect to it. My old laptop was a Dell Latitude which was working fine, until I switched laptops. I read in one of the earlier emails that you suggested turning the router off and on (which I have not done yet) Do I need to change anything else, configure anything, change IP addresses or passwords? I hope you can help.

Thank you..

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,

after switching the router off and off, if the router cannot be accessed, try this:

click start > run

type cmd and press enter

then type ipconfig

this should give you access to the net.
