No icons on desktop

Hello,
I have no icons on my desktop and I have tried alt+ctr+del & task manager....etc and I get a mesage that the administrator has disabled the task manager. PLEASE help.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi,

this i caused by virus.

boot in safe mode and then scan your computer for viruses.

this will clean it and then you may try to do a system restore.
