Acer aspire one netbook

Hello,
i have an aceraspire one netbook and the other day it froze. so i had to turn it off by just pushing the power button. now when i turn it on it starts up for a few seconds past the acer bit .. then it just goes a black screen and the mouse stylus is a X .
i don't know what to do . and i've read about recovering it useing a disc but don't undersatnd it
any hwlp would be very helpful :)
(like any other ways to reset it )

Hye you will have to put in the acer recovery cd and boot it when the laptop starts!! it will repair your system!

Hi .
but my laptop doesn't have a cd place . i tried putting the cd content onto m usb drive but wont work . thanks anyway
but any other ideas ... :)

Hey check it i have the same problem basically what your gonna have to do is buy the boot disk and a n external cd/dvd drive then reformat it but you can try alt-f10 and restore it to factory settings its worth a shot but it the probelm does not get fixed you gotta do what i did buy a new harddrive prefabbly something with more memory and buy the boot disk and youll be perfectly fine

All you have to do is press de ALT Gr botom at the right side of the space bar and the F10 key. Thaat will load back to your facory defaults.

I think there's a Recovery Partition but it sounds like you just have an X-windows problem. Try asking around in
