Hp vista wont recognize my dell printer 720

Hello,
My printer is plugged in but my HP vista isn't recognizing it........It it be the USB cord not working

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.5

Hye there,

You will need your printer cd rom to install the driver!! then it will work fine!

No, everytime I turn the computer off and on again, it fails to recognize the L7680 printer. I have to either run the CDROM again, or wait until an "ezexecute" (or something like that opens up, then wait for it to complete).

Prior to the repair process, the printer was always recognized.
