Web cam viruses

Hello,
Can web camera carrying viruses?, i borrowed mt friend's web cam and my computer should down when i plugged in the web camera and told me to unplug any new hardware, so before i use it again i want to know the answer to this question. Thank-you

No webcam never carries viruses!! you will need to install the proper driver for the webcam!
