Max Payne 1 won't install on Vista

Hello,
I keep getting an error trying to install the original Max Payne. Installs to 59%. Error says Component transfer error. Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

This is because of scratches on your cd! you can't do anything! you will have to use another cd to install the game!
