Windows XP Can't install Office 2007

Hello,
I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled my Windows XP Professional with service pack 3. I am trying to install Office 2007 and get an error message saying. "specified program requires a newer version of windows." What do I need to do?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

I am facing the EXACT same problem..only that my cd won't run either..........Im wondering is it cos of windows xp being sp3???
or is something wrong with my drive!?

The problem is sp3. install sp2 or install on sp3, framework 3.0 or 3.5. but the with the sp2 is the right anserw, you can try with the frameworks, too.
