Hello,

You will have to configure your AHCI sata options on your BIOS, put it on IDE instead of SATA!

This picture will give you an idea: http://www.xbitlabs.com/images/mainboards/biostar-tp45hp/bios02.jpg

Hi in my opinion you have to backup your all data software from recovery partition before taking any chance, and after backing up format your HDD with bootable windows XP disc, when the system asks you for the selection of drive delete all partitions and then remake partition of your choice and start installation the XP. this is how i installed.

Note: make sure you have downloaded all compatible drivers i.e. sound, video, LAN etc. otherwise may be XP do not gives you the optimal results. if u get it just reply me. thanks

I don't think it's possible! I have the ICH9 drivers for the sata controller on a DV6-12xx pavillion and it still blue screens.

I have been in the BIOS and looked to change the setting but this is either hidden or not available on these models.
