Hello,
I was receiving a blue screen of death, tried to reboot from last known OS, repair the OS, and most rercently tried to reboot from a CD. When I tried to boot from the CD I received a message stating there was an error and Windows XP did not load successfully. There is much data I need off of this computer that is not backed up elsewhere. How can I retrieve it and what are my next steps?
Please help.

Thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

I think you didn't try doing system restore on your pc!
Go on safe mode when your pc is starting up by pressing F8
Then you will be asked if you wish to do restoring your system to earlier time!
Then choose a date when your pc was working properly!
Let the process to be done
Restart your pc!
It should work fine!
