Hey John,

unfortunately I don't know what is causing this but I have the same problem (it includes that I'm not able to update the operating system). Did you solve this problem in the meantime? My last update was at the 28.05. and this was exact the day I used my old private Wlan network in germany for the last time before I moved to the UK. Maybe it dues to the change of the network and its properties?

Cheers, Ludwig

I am having the same problem, for some reason the new firefox and microsoft sites don't get along. There is an IE tab application in firefox, I tried that and it didn't work either. Let me know if you figure this out, it's a real problem for some things, like using Zune software, etc.

After virus outbreak I made a fresh copy of Windows XP (w/sp2) .I try to search and i have no problem opening the microsoft website. After I download the windows installer from microsoft and I don't see any error during installation. Next, I need to download dotnet framework application but didn't get through because the microsoft website doesn't exsist anymore .I tried to get back from system restore but already lost the microsoft server from my computer. My desktop and my loptop have the same issue..

Same problem here.

I have 5 PC in my network and all PCs are dynamic assigned IP from my ISP.
I note that two PC can access www.microsoft.com while other 3 PCs show Address Not found error.
