Dell inspiron 1525 webcam blue LED light

Hello,
i need to find a way to disable the little blue LED light right next to my built in webcam on my dell. it seems to change the colour of the picture and make it a blueish colour.

covering it with tap or something WONT HELP. it seeps through to the webcam and still makes it blue.

PLEASE HELP I NEED TO TURN IT OFF!

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.10

Hi,
you cannot turn off, this blue light indicates you when the webcam is being used.

You can go to the dell webcam centre... and there you have to go to tools, then settings and then motion detection adn turn the blue liight indicator to off.. it worked for me.. hope it works for you as well

Heyyy, I went into the dell Center as suggested and the indicator was alreadty turned off... still on though. What can I do?

Hey there i had the same problem with my inspiron. I discovered that it was the facial recognition software that was keeping it on - a simple uninstall did the trick. Hope this helps

Facial recognition? what exactly did you uninstall to solve the problem? the driver? or the webcam center? or what?
