Hello,

I am using Dell Latitude D530 with Windows XP SP-3. I am having problem with this machine that when I powered it on, it is successfully completing the POST but after POST it doesn’t boot into windows. It remains stays on the windows XP screen which appears right after the POST. I removed its HDD and plugged it into another desktop computer. In explorer it doesn’t show the "Total Size" and "Free Space" against the OS partition of laptop's HDD.

When I double clicked on this partition it prompts "K:\ is not accessible -- The parameter is incorrect".

Hi,
you need to format the drive and then reinstall Windows in it.
