Hello,
I'm having a terrible time getting online. I just recently got Millenicom mobile broadband. So i have my ethernet cable connected straight to my laptop with the Millenicom usb modem in. I turned on my PS3 and I went to network settings, then i clicked on easy method for installation, then it said checking network config. for about a minute. Then it went straight to ip address setting from there. I clicked manual because i was able to find my ip address, subnet mask, primary and secondary DNS's but every i looked to find the default router number, nothing popped up. I was wondering if I have to have a router to find this number out because I was hoping just a straight ethernet connection to the laptop would do the job. But i put in a number in the spot where it said default router anyway just to see what would happen. Every time i try, it says

Obtain IP Address Succeeded
Internet Connection Failed.

Then it says an error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error. (80710102).

Since i could find my Dns primary and secondary numbers earlier, I figured this had to do something with the default router number. I jst need to know what the problem is because i dont want to go out and buy a router if i dont need one. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hi mate

i had the same problem and i resolved it!!
what happens is it's getting interferance from other peoples routers as you are on the same or close channels.

use Nestumbler 0.4.0 download (free) to see what channels people around your area are using and then go onto your router configurations and change your channel to the thourghest one away you can get from the other channels.
