Vista business license key question

Hello,

my boss got Vista Business (64 bit and a 32 bit CD from Microsoft, with 10 license keys work on both 32 bit and 64bit.
we installed 64 bit on PC first, then we found that 64 bit is not comparable with a lot of softwares. so we format the PC and reinstalled with 32 bit.

I want to know how many license keys we left, 9? or 8 (because we install vista with same key twice)?

Hello

It should be only technically 1 since you reinstalled it on the same machine. If you are not able to install the rest make sure you call microsoft and explain to them. As long as you are not trying to install it on a differen computer with the same key they shouldn't have a problem with it.

Each key is designed for use on a single computer. A Single key may be installed and activated up to 10 times on a single machine (or other machine) after this 10 times you will be forced to call microsoft to explain the need for an additional install which they always grant you activation. I know this because i reformat my computer on a regular basis (keep it squeaky clean)
