Touchpad troubles

Hello,


i have a HP Pavilion dv6000. my touchpad stopped working a few days back. when i go to the device manager, under the mice and other pointing devices i have Synaptics PS/2 Port Touch Pad and it says the device is working properly.

the touchpad works fine in safemode but not on normal windows. i have windows vista.

what should i do?
