Network timed out/not connecting

Hello,

I am having the same network connection timed out issue. I have spoken to my internet provider tech team and they have no answers for me. I moved into my new place and was using an unsecure router for a few months when I began having the network connection issue. I was able to log on and then after 10 to 15 minutes the connection would time out. I figured the owner of the network got smart and changed some setting on their router. I then went out and purchased my own Netgear wireless router configured it and I am still having the same issue. It is extremely confusing because if I restart my computer I will have connection for a short period of time before it times out. At other times I can connect and be logged on for hours without any issues. It seems as if the problem occurs only at certain times of the day. I cannot figure out what the issue is? My computer can obviously pick up the wireless connection because when I go to the nearest free wifi spot the issue does not occur. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I throw my compute against the wall, and break my router and modem into a million pieces. Thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.10
