You don't need to set up a DNS server to serve web pages via Apache. Your ISP provides all the DNS you need and from there to all the DNS servers around the world. All a DNS server does is convert a web address to an IP address. You should never see the IP address in the address bar if you enter a web address. Thats all handled by the HTTP protocol in the background. Virtual server allows you to run multiple web sites from the same server. Apache does not provide DNS. So what exactly are you trying to achieve? |
