Laptop sudenly turn off

Hello,
i have dell laptop.when i plugged in my charger it suddenly turn off.i not turn on back again when i press my power button lights also not on. i tried in all ways.i run my laptop with battery and without battery,but no use .In my friend laptop with same configuration both are working.i tried this also removing battery and hold on power button for 30 sec and plug in charger again .it doesn't work for my laptop. please help me guys.

Configuration: Windows XP

I don't think this a power problem.. there must be a problem with the motherboard inside! if you have warranty bring it to your provider!

Warranty is completed .mother board problem is major or minor.how much it effort??For any problem in it need to change entire mother board or can fix without replacement?
