1 step: - you have a cable his name is
TIA/EIA 568-B.2 CATEGORY 5e
And RJ45 connector
2step: - make a cross cable

Cable each wires setting.
3 steps: your computer have install Ethernet hardware
How to
Right click "my computer"
Move mouse "computer properties"
Click "hardware" tab menu
Click "Device Manager"
Device manager window is open
Check network adapter
"PCI Fast Ethernet NIC" is work or not?
If NIC device is work then do next work
Else Nick device have cross simple then double click NIC device.
And "Enable Device"
Device usage: use this device (enable)


End work

4 steps. Create a ip address to both system are not same (My network places)
Click: - "view network connections" in network tasks
Right click: - local area connection
Ex: Realtek RTL8139 family PCI
Click: properties
Click 'this connection uses the following item:'
Internet protocol (TCP/IP) click "properties"
Use the following IP address
Ex: -
1st PC 192.168.0.100
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
2nd Pc 192.168.0.200
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Click "ok" "ok"
4 steps: dos command check connection
Ping ip address (other pc)
Ex: ping 192.168.0.100
They have checking connection
And massage report
5.click in network task Firwall setting change
Off (not recommended) both system.
6-check group are same in my computer properties "computer Name"
Ex: "workgroup"
7. Then plug in cable to computer pc1 pc2.
Then massage is display "network cable is plugging with 100mbps"
Then click "network placese" and click "view workgroup computer"


Note:
Windows Xp any new
1.568 cable is make in cross 1---3,2----6,3----1,6-----2
2.same work group name
3.if you have problem to generate to ip address so this is not important to computer because automatically assign ip address
4.if Ethernet is not work/ not install
You have installed it with "main board" cd
Insert cd in cd Rom click "my computer" "properties" "hardware" "device manager"
Right click NIC device and choose update device click next to fowling instruction.
5.firwall setting, anti viruse firewall setting.
6. Ms dos command ping is must be using.
Ping command using in dos
If massage is Request timed out.
So you have a cable problem.
Of work group problem.

hi.hope will be fine. do u tell me .when I am going "vies work group computer" system is asking password but I didnt set any password.y it is asking

i means..
when we get an ip address such as.. 192.168.0.1

than we ping 192.168.0.1

that's give me a message " disination host unreachable"

MY IP ADDRESS IS 192.168.1.1 AND 192.168.1.3

I did not understand the 4th step. What do you mean by dos. Could you please elaborate the 4th step? i got all the steps done except for the 4th. Could you please explain me just the 4th step.

And one more dught for me i have two system both os or Xp i alredy connected p2p . Now i want to connect the
internet connection for both system . i have one way o/p modem plz replay me

1-connect the modem to your pc .
2-from the network setp wizard choose "This Computer Connects Directly to the internet .the other computers connext to the internet through this computer". with this you have you computer acts as Aresidental gate way.
3-on the other computer From the network setup wizard choose "This computer connects to internet through aresidental gateway or through another computer.

Don't forget to make amodem connection and connect to it.

Your msg was very helpfull. Is this procedure is applicable for 2 pc's running with different os.(EX:vista,XP)

than what can i make a networking the system . plz reply me as a document or flow chart . all divices are plagin the switch and computer through the coss & strate cable connection

i understand your problem. you will use the switch to connect these computers and assign require ip addresses to each computer.if you have broadband or lease line then connect router in the network.share your server in the network so all other pcs can use internet connection.....

i just follow the instrustion given by JASTIS. And i have another problem "my system is connected in net through another computer it display the message LAN connected at 100mpbs but internet explore sould not open the web page. please clarify my problem.

jitendra Kumar Sharma i fallowed u r instructions first day 2 systems are working using 1 internet connection next day it is not working in ping it displaying un reachable cable is connected both systems after re starting it showing 2 system is showing local area is connected 100 mbps after few minutes it showing un pluged in ping showing un reachable how to solve this proble please tll me taj

to connect 2 PC's using LAN you need a crossover wire and change the "workgroup" and the computer's IP..
it could be a bit hard.. try to find a tutorial in the web..

u r a amazing.

its easy first make sure you have loaded the correct drivers for the network cards.Then from configure your computers putting them in the same workgroup.This can be done by clicking computer properties.computer name then change the workgroup .After that configure the ip adress eg put computer one to ip 192.168.0.1 subnet mask 255.255.0.0.After this share your files.You will notice that you are connected.

If u want to boot from network your computer just go the run comand and type regedit and enter than you go to the file menu and go to the connect network registry and go to enter the object name to select here in the box you type your computer name or IP address Example----pc-102 or 192.168.0.9 as par. than you press enter button


NOTE- But this formula is runing only from networking and network system.

sir i have connected the two system in network by making cross connection.in pc1 am having two nic card because one for broad band another for lan net work but now i need to access the broad band in both the system .. what is the procedure.. to acess the broad band in both the system.

Make a cross cable for the connection and put the 2 pc under the same workgroup.And finally, add d below configuration 2 d LAN of d 2 system.

IP address eg.. 192.168.0.1 subnetmask 255.255.255.0
and2nd system 192.168.0.2 subnetmask 255.255.255.0

The result is destination host notreachable
