Unable to download attachments

Hello,
i need help!! i am not computer saavy and have been trying to download attachments. i use yahoo. its keeps telling me something like "file maybe in use by another application file format and may not be supported by any of installed converts. something to that nature i thought maybe i needed to install adobe or something but that didn't help

What i'm trying t download are documents sent to me like an application to fill out and send back ...is that what your asking?
