Hello,
I have a Dell XPS 410 with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed by the company. The machine was on, when the power went out, when I tried to reboot the machine, it send it to the recovery program, I did all that, but the machine now stalls every time and nevers boot up. It goes to the Dell Screen and to the beginning of the Windows green bar and stalls. I check all the software and hardware and it is fine. I have called Dell for help, but my warranty has expired. I asked Dell to send me a copy(CD/DVD) to reinstall Vista, but they do not want to do it. I will like to reinstall the System and work. Does anyone have a solution or suggestions to fix my system, or do you know of any hints to be able to boot it up.

Configuration: Windows Vista Home Premium Edition

I had the same problem except I had to pull the plug myself cause my plane was leaving. I got the same problem as you. Here is how I solved it without needing a new Vista DVD: http://annoyances-resolved.blogspot.com/...
