IDE to SATA

Hello,

I am using a IDE hard disk as primary master and also connected a SATA hardisk as the secondry master and i have installed the OS on my primary hard disk but when i try to copy data from the primary hard disk to the secondry the system either hangs or copies just doesn't go through. Iam using a IDE to SATA converter so could any one advise on this

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0, Processor Pentium 4   2.4GHz, Motherboard Intel 845chipset, Memory 256 MB, OS : Xp

I have never had any experience in using IDE to SATA converters, but maybe check your BIOS and make sure RAID is turned off. Maybe turn it on if it is already off.
