OPTION "LOG OFF NAME" START MENU




For Windows 98 Millenium


To remove the shortcut “Log off name” from the Menu Start, right-click in an empty area of the taskbar to open the task bar and start menu properties. Then select Properties

Go to Advanced tab and scroll to “Show Prompt session” Unchecked the box.

For Windows 98 SE


To disable the log off name under Windows 98, you should access the registry.

To access the registry, go to menu start and select “Run”

Type “regedit” and press “OK”


In the open window , locate the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right-click on the right part of the windows and select New > Value DWORD
Name the value as NoLogOff
Double click on the new icon and edit the value DWORD, set the value as 1.
Click on OK and close the registry.

Then restart your computer to save the setting made in the registry.
