How to get rid of SPY AXE?

Spy Axe is a rogue application that pretends to be an anti-spyware that forces installation on your computer. This malware can cause harmful effect to your computer and change setting which however makes it very difficult to delete from your system and even slowed your computer.

Methods of elimination

First of all, download and install a competent firewall to stop this malfunctioning to further intrude your system.

Disable Messenger in Administrative Tools. Go to ‘Control Panel’ > <gras>“Administrative Tools” > </gras> “Services” > “Messenger”. Then scroll to “Disable” and click on “Apply” to confirm configuration.

Deactivate System Restore

Deactivate System Restore. To do this setting, select Menu Start and right click on “My Computer” .Then select “Properties” and then tab label as System Restore. Then turn off and click on “Apply”.

Download Smitfraudix and Hoster

Download and unzip smitfraudix

Run SmitfraudFix.exe

Then open and run SmitfraudFix.exe.
To obtain a scan report, select 1 and hit “Enter”.
This will appear in the system drive root under command: C:\rapport.txt
Then restart your computer and press F8 to boot menu.
Then select Safe Mode and double click on “SmitfraudFix.exe”.
Select 2 and hit Enter for cleaning infected files.
Then select Y and press “Enter” (see below image).

SmitFraudFix will then check if winninet.dll has also been infected. If yes, select Y to replace it.
Then Restart your computer to complete the removal process.
After completing this process, you can now turn on system restore.
