After a clean up of malware infection in your system, it is highly recommended that you reset your system restore in order to clean up restore point that might have been infected.
Reset of your system restore can be done by deactivation and activation.

This tip can also be useful for complete deactivation of system restore due to high disk usage.

To do this operation, click on “Menu Start” and right click on “My Computer”. Then select “Properties”.

In the opened window, double-click on “system” and then “System protection”:


Uncross check the box for the disk you wish to deactivate system restore and confirm.

To reactivate system restore, you just have to cross check the box.
