Copy/Paste problems when using Firefox

It happens that sometimes, Firefox refuse to copy/paste items.

Two assumptions can be made:

Pushow Adware

You have been infected by an adware, named pushow**.dll (pushow35.dll, pushow42.dll, etc), found in c:\windows\system32.

Search for these files, transfer it from system32 to another folder, rename it, restart your PC and the delete it.

Extensions

It happens that some file extensions are not compatible with your version of Mozilla Firefox. Simply start your Firefox under safe mode to check out if there are any problems.

Safe mode allows Firefox to start up even if a theme or extension is not working properly. Under this mode Firefox use its default theme and doesn't make use of any extensions. You can determine if the problems encountered are due to extensions

Note that any changes made under safe mode are temporary and restarting Firefox under normal mode will clear out all these changes.

How to start safe mode:

Close Firefox application and in the run tab type firefox -safe-mode.
