Are hackers interested in personal computer?

Myth

Is it secure to protect your personal computer at home? At first sight, it appears to be worthless to protect your computer at home as there is apparently either information or even it does not mean business.

Reality

It is quite crazy to think that you are secure from hackers as they can track unprotected computers with automated tools for sending bulk spam messages with excessive advertising of doubtful products. What is most evil is that most costs are bared by recipients rather than spam advertisers.

It is safer to protect your computer to reduce any kind and form of attempts which can be vulnerable.
