Myth


BloodHound has been classified as a virus as it has often been detected by Norton anti virus during a scan process.

Reality


BloodHound is indeed a threat but not necessarily a virus. Norton has a few years ago developed a software that could be able to detect any kinds or viruses, Trojans, Spyware or any kinds of threat that it will not be able to classify on a computer. Hence, though it might not be a software that will infect your system, BloodHound will be detected by Norton as a potential harm. Below is the list of such harms:
