Conflict between Mozilla firefox and MAC OS






Issue


I have a problem with Firefox. The "Go back one page" or "Go forward one page" tabs are dimmed.
When I turn on Firefox a little message appears and says "The system of bookmark and history will not be operational for any of the files of Firefox as they are in use by another application. Some security software can cause this problem. "

Initially I thought that by simply restarting my computer the problem is resolved. But no. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but the problem persists.


Solution

  • Try to disable the current Firefox folder.
  • For that, move it to the desktop while Firefox is closed, then restart Firefox.
  • This file is here: 

Hard Disk/Users/ username /Library/Application Support/Firefox
    • This folder also contains your bookmarks, in the file "bookmarks.html" found in "bookmarkbackups"
