It is possible to display the output from the computer to the television (or the sound on an amp).
For this it is necessary that the graphics card has a TV output and the TV has a SCART input or S-Video.

TV Output
- The output of the graphics card, is generally an S-Video (mini DIN 6 pin), also called S-VHS, as the following diagram:
- Sometimes graphic cards have a RCA output, a yellow (video) port, as the following picture:
- If the graphics card does not have any of these connectors, it will be necessary to change the graphics card or invest in additional hardware called VGA Box:
S-Video
If it is an S-Video (S-VHS) then you must have a S-Video cable connecting the computer to the S-Video TV or, failing that get a s-video/SCART an adapter.
- Note:
- Generally, graphic cards do not fully support S-Video, which has the effect of displaying images in black and white. To remedy this, simply open the /s-video-SCART adapter and make a (a bridge) between terminals 15 and 20.

Configuration under Windows
On Windows, it is usually necessary to activate the TV output via the control panel:

- 2. Click on "Advanced" tab and choose "View."
- On Nvidia cards, this option is in Start / Control Panel / nVidia desktop manager / nView
- 3. If the TV is connected to the TV output, a TV screen with the indication "connected" or should not appear
- 4. Choose the option Clone Monitor / TV and validate.
