NOTE THAT these files are vital to boot! NTLDR (NT Loader) is the library to load the Windows kernel at boot.
Recovery Console
Start with the repair console (press the F10 key at startup or boot disk to install Windows). At the command prompt type "fixboot C:" and press enter.
Restart the system. (Do not forget the space between and fixboot C:)
Repair XP
Trying to repair Windows by booting the installation CD and then pressing "R" to request a system repair.
Recovery from the Windows CD
Start from the Windows CD and choose the option "r". At the command prompt type the following commands:
X (where X: is the drive letter of your CD-ROM)
cd i386
copy ntldr c:
copy ntdetect.com c:
